📌 11. My Experience

I recently applied for the Full Stack Developer Trainee position at College
Dekho.com. According to their job posting, they were hiring for this technical
role. However, when I reached their office for the interview, I discovered the
reality was different. They were actually hiring for two roles: Academic
Counselor (which is more of a sales/non-technical role but was presented as
being somewhat related to tech) Technical Roles, which included either QA Tester
or Full Stack Developer Trainee. At first, one of the interviewers asked me to
choose between the Academic Counselor role or wait for a potential technical
role. They explained that if I joined as an Academic Counselor, there might be
an opportunity to switch to a technical role internally after six months.
However, it seemed like a tactic to divert applicants towards their non-tech
openings. Despite this, I remained clear and firm about my goal: I am 100%
committed to starting my career in a technical role, specifically Full Stack
Development. I expressed my interest in the technical roles only, and they asked
me to wait for about an hour. Later, I was called in by another interviewer. He
asked if I had experience working with React, MongoDB, and SQL. I confidently
said yes. Then he asked if I had experience in automation or manual testing, to
which I replied no, as my experience was mainly in writing unit tests during
development, not the kind of testing typically handled by QA testers. After the
interview, I was told to wait outside again. Finally, another person came out,
took my resume, and politely asked me to leave. They said that if there was any
further response, they would contact me

📌 12. Conclusion

This experience taught me an important lesson—always be clear, confident, and
committed about the role you are applying for. Desperation should never
compromise your career goals. If you are aiming for a core development role,
stay focused on that path. Even if the opportunity doesn’t come immediately, use
the time wisely to upskill, strengthen your knowledge, and improve your
technical abilities. Have a clear and crystal mindset about where you see
yourself in the future. And above all, remember: Allah is always with you. What
is meant for you will never miss you, and what misses you was never meant for
you. Trust His plan, make du'a, and keep putting in your best effort. With
patience and consistent learning, the right opportunity will come your way, In
	shaa Allah.
